In this section are descriptions of Villa Monterey Home Owners Association projects, topics, and issues important to the Association members. There are two sections here: Active Projects and Completed Projects.

Active Projects

Landscape Matters

Check here and the VMHOA newsletter for upcoming landscape announcements.

• Our first priority will be trimming for fire prevention.
• Check the VMHOA Calendar for dates of Landscape Committee walk-through meetings. Beginning 2008, the December walk-through meetings meetings will not be held since they occur during Christmas week.
• Starting in 2009, Weststar Landscape, in partnership with Jim Taylor, Landscape Architect of Lightfoot Planning Group, will create a landscape renovation plan for the canyon rim. Project information is posted here.

Repairs & Repainting

Ten buildings, including the clubhouse, will undergo wood trim repairs and repainting this summer. Homeowners of those units will be notified by notices posted on their buildings regarding scheduling.

Swale

That part of the open swale nearest the sidewalk along the canyon rim has been covered.

New Fences

Fence replacement began in 2002 and was completed by the end of October, 2003.

Semi-Annual Garage Sale

A garage sale is anticipated for later this year. The date will be posted when known.

Installation of new garage doors (1998)

Light-weight segmented garage doors replaced the original, heavy single-piece garage doors (spring, 1998).

Re-roofing the units (1996)

Concrete roof tiles replaced the cedar shake roofs on all units (summer/fall, 1996).
