2.4   POOL RULES

The Association expects that good order and self-discipline be maintained in the pool area at all times. Please wear appropriate bathing attire, use the gate to enter the pool, do not dive, and do not damage pool furniture or equipment.

1. The pool area shall be open from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. seven days a week.
2. All guests must be accompanied by a Homeowner. The Homeowner shall remain with the guests during the time the guests are in the pool area. Adults 21 years of age and older may escort up to 10 guests; people under 21 years of age may escort up to 2 guests.
3. Children under fourteen(14) years of age are not allowed in the pool area unless they are accompanied by a responsible individual eighteen(18) years of age or older.
4. The "buddy system" shall be used by all swimmers at all times. This means that, for safety reasons, no one swims alone.
5. Individuals shall not wear hairpins in the pool.
6. Noise shall be kept to an acceptable limit; the loud playing of a radio and constant noise are not permitted.
7. Running, pushing, dunking, and horseplay in or around the pool are not permitted.
8. Playing with or destroying pool furniture, life preservers, life saving hooks, etc., or placing them in the pool or jacuzzi are not permitted.
9. Glassware of any kind is not permitted in the pool area; other unbreakable containers are allowed, provided they are disposed of in a proper manner and are not thrown in the pool or left to litter the pool area.
10. Animals of any type are not permitted in the pool area.
11. Toys, balls, floats, frisbees, etc.(except for necessary swimming aids) are not permitted in the pool or jacuzzi at anytime. Styrofoam swimming aids must be suitably covered to preclude crumbling or disintegration.
12. Within the pool area, food is permitted only on the raised, fenced-in deck. Bar-B-Que equipment is not permitted in the pool area due to the danger of burns and stains to the deck.
13. Individuals shall not enter the pool or jacuzzi after applying tanning preparations or hair oils without first taking a hot shower to remove these materials from skin and hair.
14. No lifeguard is on duty! Swimmers swim at their own risk. Swimming alone is not prudent and is not authorized.
15. Individuals under fourteen(14) years of age are not permitted in the jacuzzi unless accompanied by a responsible individual eighteen(l 8) years of age or older, regardless of whether the whirl jets are on or off.
16. Children under 4' 6" in height are not permitted to use the jacuzzi, regardless of whether the whirl jets are on or off.
17. The pool is reserved for the exclusive use of lap swimmers from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
18. Bicycle riding, skateboarding, and roller skating are not permitted in the pool area.
