Board of Directors Meeting
Minutes
December 10, 2008

 

Call To Order
President Skip Kruszona called the Board meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Association's Clubhouse.

Committees

  1. CC&R's Committee - The committee has met 15 times; very slow progress, but have completed Article 7; each member will contact the insurance company and find out other coverage besides the HO6. The committee would like to meet with the association's insurance representative to have him explain the policy that is too difficult to understand.
  2. Landscape Committee - Various Q & A's from guest speaker James Taylor, Landscape Architect from the Lightfoot Planning Group.
  3. Parking Committee - Discussed various recommendations presented to the Board members. The 1999 Rules and Regulations were given to the Associations Attorney for review and to include the committee's recommendations.
  4. Clubhouse Committee - The Board members *MSCM approved to buy a new refrigerator and to replace the carpets. The church pews will be removed and the painting proposal was received by ProTech.

Homeowners Forum

Guest Speaker
James Taylor the Landscape Architect from The Lightfoot Planning Group gave a presentation on the proposed Canyon Rim Renovation Project and brought drawings and made recommendations for the 2009 Canyon Rim Renovation Project slated to begin in 2009.

Minutes
The Board members *MSCM approved the November 12, 2008 Regular minutes, as written. President Kruszona would like the minutes marked "Draft" in the Board packets going forward.

Financials
The Board members reviewed and *MSCM accepted the financials ending November 30, 2008, subject to independent audit.

Delinquency List
The Board reviewed the current delinquent analysis and no actions were necessary.

Correspondence

  1. Violation Logs - The Board members reviewed the November 2008 violation logs.
  2. [] Rim View Way - Homeowner requested that the two (2) church pews be removed from the clubhouse due to them being unsightly and not fitting with the décor of the room. The Board members *MSCM approved to remove the pews.

Landscape

  1. The association did not have a landscape and property inspection for the month of December and was informed of the next scheduled walkthrough dated Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 8:00 AM, location in front of the clubhouse.
  2. Landscape Upcoming Projects - On the west end of the community, not affecting the greenbelt area re-designing will start in 2009, by removing the turf and installing boulders and drought-tolerant plants, and adding some colors. Maintenance

  1. Work Order Reports - The Board members reviewed the November 2008 work order reports.
  2. Concrete Grinding -The Board members *MSCM approved the proposal from Saber Concrete to grind all the lifted sidewalks throughout the community.

New Business

  1. Workman's Compensation Renewal - The Board members *MSCM approved the proposal from Berg Insurance Agency through Republic Indemnity Company to carry the Workers Compensation Insurance effective Jan. 1, 2009 through Jan. 1, 2010.
  2. Resident Profile Form - The Board members *MSCM tabled due to modification from Board Vice Pres. Michael Campbell and Board Director Greg Smutko to help with the cover letter.
  3. Newsletter - Barking dogs, volunteers needed on Jan. 2, 2009 to take down all the Christmas decorations in the Clubhouse at 9:00 AM.

Next Meeting
The next meeting is Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the Association's Clubhouse.

Adjournment
The Board members *MSCM adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
